Our Founder
His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada founded ISKCON in 1966 with the mission to spread Krishna consciousness throughout the world. Starting with a small storefront in New York, the movement has grown to encompass temples, communities, and educational institutions across the globe.
Srila Prabhupada translated over 70 volumes of Vedic literature and established a worldwide confederation of centers dedicated to the principles of bhakti-yoga.
