About Ekadasi
Ekadasi is the eleventh day of the lunar fortnight (both waxing and waning phases of the moon). This day is considered auspicious for spiritual practices and fasting.
According to Vaishnava tradition, Lord Krishna recommended observing Ekadasi by fasting from grains and beans to increase spiritual awareness. Chanting, reading scripture, and devotional activities are especially encouraged on this day.
